One year after its launch, the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future (PLF) has united more than 75 partners from governments, UN agencies, and philanthropy around one mission: to end childhood lead poisoning by 2040.
Momentum is building. Countries are measuring blood lead levels, identifying major sources, and putting new policies into place. UNICEF estimates that with an investment of just $1.6 billion over 15 years—about $2 per child—we can cut childhood lead poisoning in half by 2033 and eliminate it entirely by 2040.
Global leaders agree: the solutions exist, the cost is achievable, and the time for action is now. Together, we can protect every child’s right to a lead-free future.
