Become a Partner
Partnership is open to national governments, international organizations and philanthropies that support our goal to end childhood lead poisoning by 2040.
Joining the Partnership does not carry any legal or financial obligation. In addition to mobilizing global support to end childhood lead poisoning, partners intend to support country-led approaches to tackle lead exposure by providing technical expertise and resources, to the extent that their circumstances allow.
Partners can take actions like:
Increasing intergovernmental coordination:
Appointing an existing or new cross-sectoral lead-specific coordinating role within the government.
Launching action plans:
Developing a multisectoral, multi-year plan that works towards the elimination of lead exposure in one’s country or through one’s organization.
Sharing insights and resources:
Contributing to the Partnership working groups and sharing locally applicable practices, resources and data.
Prioritizing the mitigation of lead exposure:
Supporting the enactment of laws, policies and practices to test and mitigate the priority sources of lead exposure.
Promoting awareness:
Attending Partnership events and raising awareness on the issue of childhood lead exposure in national, regional and global forums.
How to Join:
Submit a written expression of interest, an email or letter, to join the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future, signed by a senior government representative from the ministry, department or agency that will be participating in the Partnership (e.g., Minister, Director-General, Head of Department, etc.). Government partners also have the option to join the Children’s Environmental Health Collaborative and the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future in the same submission.
