As a partner, the Ministry of Health of Zambia is committed to protecting children from the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation.

As part of their contribution to the Children's Environmental Health Collaborative and the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future, they commit to the following activities:

  1. Advocate for prioritizing children's environmental health in key international forums, including through joint co-branded communication and advocacy products, when feasible.
  2. Contribute research on the specific impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on children's health and share guidance, tools and best practices to protect children from these impacts.
  3. Provide technical assistance, expertise and technical resources on children's environmental health.
  4. Participate in joint convenings and promote coherent approaches to protecting children's environmental health.
  5. Finalize the development of the lead in paint standard operating procedures and legal framework.
  6. Commemorate the lead in paint in children events and raise awareness across the provinces and districts including the manufacturers and traders.
  7. Develop the database to track the effects of the lead in paint and its impact.
