As a partner, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia is committed to protecting children from the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation.

As part of their contribution to the Children’s Environmental Health Collaborative and the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future, they commit to the following activities:

  1. Advocate for the prioritization of children’s environmental health in key international and regional policy forums, including through joint and co-branded communication materials and advocacy initiatives, as appropriate.
  2. Contribute to research and knowledge-generation initiatives that examine the specific impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on children’s health, and facilitate the sharing of guidance, tools, and best practices to support preventive and protective measures.
  3. Provide technical assistance, subject-matter expertise, and relevant technical resources to strengthen policies, programs, and institutional capacity related to children’s environmental health.
  4. Participate actively in joint convenings, knowledge-sharing platforms, and collaborative initiatives, while promoting coherent, integrated, and child-centered approaches to safeguarding children from environmental health risks.
