As a partner, the Ministry of Health and Sports of Bolivia is committed to protecting children’s health and development from the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation.

As part of their contribution to the Children's Environmental Health Collaborative and the Partnership for a Lead-Free Future, they commit to the following activities:

  1. Promote intersectoral actions aimed at protecting the environmental health of children and adolescents, in coordination with competent national and
    sub-national entities.
  2. Strengthen processes for generating, collecting, and analyzing information related to environmental risks affecting children's health, particularly regarding air pollution, exposure to toxic substances, and climate change.
  3. Drive the development and strengthening of policies and strategies aimed at preventing and reducing environmental risks affecting children and
    adolescents.
  4. Promote awareness-raising, education, and communication actions directed at the general public and key stakeholders regarding the impacts of environmental risks on children's health.
  5. Promote the incorporation of the child environmental health approach into planning instruments, public policies, and institutional actions related to health, the environment, and climate change.
  6. Support initiatives aimed at monitoring and surveilling environmental risks affecting children and adolescents, prioritizing vulnerable populations.
  7. Promote preventive actions regarding air pollution, exposure to lead and pesticides, and the effects of climate change, within the scope of institutional mandates.
